The Info

LDC placemats and coasters are a true labor of love. Each and every one has been hand-finished with a gold-leaf edge and a beautifully soft, black baize backing.

These placemats have been crafted using a sustainably sourced eucalyptus base and features a full melamine surface. They can withstand temperatures of up to 140 degrees and are easily wiped clean.

The story behind the design

A playful parody inspired by Michelangelo’s infamous masterpiece; The Creation of Adam.

Excitedly visiting the Vatican during a romantic jaunt to Rome, Lauren was awestruck by its vast, painted ceiling. So much so, that she was immediately compelled to pen her own version, but with the added irreverent juxtaposition of gender.

The feminine hands adorned with bracelets and nail varnish, render this widely recognised meme with an unexpected and stylish twist.
